Dear Steamboat Mountain W.S.C. Member,
It is the time of year when we ask our members who are interested in becoming a Board Member for Steamboat Mountain W.S.C. to fill out an application and apply. This is a change that was made into law in 2011 requiring all rural water systems throughout the state to conduct their board member elections in a consistent manner and follow certain minimum requirements.
This law requires applicants to meet minimum standards, (shown on the application form), to be a member in good standing with the Corporation, and to obtain a minimum of twenty (20) signatures from existing members endorsing you as a candidate, (husband and wife both cannot sign). You may obtain these twenty signatures on your own or we can post a signature page in our office for members, if they wish, to review/sign when they come in to conduct business. If this is something you would like for us to do, please let us know when you return your application. Applications must be returned to our office no later than March 4th, 2026.
